As you can see our outfielders (Alex in this case) are ready to play baseball, every play. The infielder too. We rarely have a let down here. This team is the most motivated teams I ever had, when it comes to a winning attitude. Great group of players. The players have an amazing .365 team batting average and .485 on base percentage. The best part is the player can do even better and they know it. I'm looking for a .450 hitting and .600 on base. I guess that's why we are off to a 7-0 to start this year.

Here are the boys in between innings getting ready to pound the ball. Let's see what is going on here. Brett appears to be telling his parents to get him a Gatoraid (the red one I'm sure). Jorge is getting ready to hit. I'm looking at my roster and trying to figure out who's going in the line up. Ryan and Dylan are discussing world politics on the bench.... Jared in the Red helmet is preping for his at bat by studying the pitcher...

Alex is getting ready to motor around the bases. This player has something no manager can teach, SPEED. I've heard that he's a pretty good football player too. I look forward to developing his hitting and fielding. He has real potential to be a very good player in this division. What a great demeanor too.

Coaching our team is a pleasure. It's so easy a Caveman can do it. Here's Wes and me at a post game interveiw. Even on bad days the players are good. They seem focused to win. This team never feels like they are out of any game.

Here's a good picture of Clark. While I talk to the boys Clark is always ready to discuss the finer points of the game with the players.

This is a shot of the Coaching staff. Fred is counseling one of the players on the beach. Wes is calling the pitches to the catcher. One of our coaches that isn't in the dugout is Clark H. Little League rules prevent him from being in the dugout. Long story.... Great group of Coaches all of us have our strenght but we all have the same basic philosophy. Technique, Technique, Technique.... Without it you're doomed as a player. We are having as much fun as the players.

Ryan G is another big powerfull player on the team. Good legs, were working on those hands. He's the best 3B man in this league. This is the first year in VCLL, he came to our town from Fallbrook. I love having him on my team. Very quite and unselfish player.

Ryan M making a play from 2B. He is very calm with the ball. Makes very smart plays. I would say he's the David Eckstein of our team. The best part is he's having fun playing again.

Jorge is hitting the cover off the ball this year too. We are 6 games into the season and he's hitting .600. This is Jorge's first year in the Major division. Now we need to work on that Defense.

Kyle hitting another shot for a base hit. Kyle is ripping it up this year. This little guy is only 9 years old. He'll be 10 pretty soon. I waiting for him to hit one out this year. He has the power.... Future VCLL stud in this division for the next 3 years. He's one of our pitchers too.

Wyatt is looking into the dugout as you can see Brett is on 2B looking too. Something must be going on in the dugout for both of them to be paying that much attention.

This is Matt. On Base and getting ready to score. As you can see it's another great day in Valley Center.

I love this great example of the ready position. This is what a baseball player should look like when getting ready to make a play. The picture below of Stephano is good too. The players have been doing a great job of this. When you see one of our games you can tell that the team is ready to play. It's still early in the year and we hope that we can continue to grow as a team. Standby for future updates.

This is Stephano another of the 07 Giants. He's playing 2nd Base for us here. He also Pitches for us.

This is the first game of the year. Brett is on the mound for us and Ryan M is in the background playing Short Stop. We went on to win this game 10-3 and are off to a good start. Currently we are 4-0 on the year and the boys are having a blast. The coaches too.

Little League opening day, in Valley Center. For the second year we had Randy Jones throw out the first pitch. Then he said a few words to the players... This year I'm managing a Major division team. My team is the Giants. One of my players is in the background, in the black jacket. I think that's Wyatt.

Here is a 2 of the 16 puppies. As you can see we had various colors... They are fun to play.

Wylie is making the BLOG again. I noted his new coffee mug and thought it deserved mention. You never know when you could make the BLOG.....

New Project at the Mini Ranch was to finally put grass around the house. Things were going great till I ran out of grass in the front. Not to fear you can always orders more grass. Project will be complete just in time of the puppies to tear it up. We are keeping two pups from the litters. Moby is a White Lab and Aussie looks like a German Sheppard with Lab features. These two are going to be a hand full....

While in Las Vegas we became puppy grandparents. Diana is holding one of the pups from Harley's litter. This puppy is only one day old. Now they are 8 weeks and a lot of fun. In total we had 16 puppies from 2 dogs. They are free to a good home. Lab / Sheppard mix. They are awesome so far.

While in Vegas for my exercise Diana decided to stretch the legs of her new toy. She drove up to Vegas in the Porsche. While up there we ran into Sugar Ray front man Mark Mcgrath. Diana crashed a party at the Hard Rock Hotel too. She was looking for Paris Hilton but ran in to Snoop Doggs private party. Talk about polar opposites. We had a great time in Vegas. I drove the car back home and I have to tell you that the car really smooths out at 110 mph. That was a fun ride.

This year I supported a joint military exercise called, "Red Flag". Here we some of my fellow classmates at that exercise. As you can see there are many different uniforms in the crowd. In the photo there are Navy (Tan), Air Force (jump suits and dark cammies), Army (guy waving). That guy is John Umpstead. Got to know him while working with him. He had to be the class pary animal. We had a Marine in our class but he's hiding from the view of the camera. Lots of good people. Oh did I mention that this exercise was in Vegas and I was there for a month. Good times!!

Linda and Diana getting ready for a bike ride on the last day of the year. The weather was great as usual, and we had a great time with friends on the last day of the year. Our ride took us through the elfen forest to the coast.
